Twelve months on from that unforgettable Easter extravaganza which saw the legendary Bedrock roar back into London, John Digweed’s masterclass in electronic music returns this coming Easter Thursday March 20 as Lock N Load Events presents this year’s Bedrock Easter Special at Heaven and another mouth-watering night of dancefloor excellence.

Bedrock’s Easter session is always a notable date in the clubbing calendar, with last year’s effort selling out way in advance of the big night. 2007 also saw another Bedrock stomper in the shape of their Birthday bash in October and sandwiched in between was their incredible debut at Lock N Load Events’ summer festival South West Four.

It was here that Diggers and co. hosted a Bedrock Arena for the very first time, and the beast made such a mega impact that day, that their very stage was nominated for ‘Best Dance Arena’ at the annual UK Festival Awards.

For their next event, Bedrock’s talisman John Digweed again leads from the front as he headlines Heaven’s infamous main room, just as he has done since that first epic night back in 1998.

And ten years on, John remains one of the most successful and respected djs in the world.

Keeping the Easter bunnies bouncing on the night will be very special guest Eric Prydz, who lines up in the main room with Diggers, following his stunning show in the Bedrock Arena at SW4 last summer. The Robert De Niro of the Swedish House Mafia, Eric Prydz has made a major impact on the dance scene since reaching chart success with that track and that video.

Whether under his name or under his techno guise Cirez D, Prydz is a musical phenomenon. Prydz is also the master of the remix and his Pink Floyd sampling ‘Proper Education’ was another global smash to add to his ever-growing list. Meanwhile over in the Star Bar, the original grand-daddies of the 6 deck mash-up, X-Press 2 pick up from where the heir’s to the throne SOS left off in 2007 with a highly-anticipated extended set.

Comprising of Ashley Beedle, Rocky & Diesel – who are all massive in their own right; X-Press 2 have produced some of the most groundbreaking and iconic music the world of electronica has ever known with classic tracks like ‘Lazy’, ‘ACDC’, ‘Smoke Machine’ and ‘Muzik Express’.

The final Friday of the first month back at The Gallery is always a biggun for us, and this year it’s no exception as we reunite the amazing trio of Judge Jules, Sister Bliss and Tall Paul for a huge dancefloor ding-dong on Friday 25th January. After packing out his Judgement Sunday night in Ibiza in 2007 with record numbers and remaining a loyal and popular name at The Gallery it’s back to business as normal, with his first outing of 2008 here at Turnmills. Tall Paul (or the ‘Guv’nor’, as he’s known to The Gallery faithful) is back for his first session of the ’08! There are few who can say they have been there, done it and got the T-Shirt quite like Tall Paul can. Sister Bliss returns to her DJ residency at The Gallery and boy are we glad to see her! The Gallery has some of the best residents and Bliss is no exception.
T2 welcomes its ever popular end of month JOY session - ably lead by Gallery legend Steve Lee. For this instalment of feel good, Balearic funk, Steve is joined by Raymundo Rodirguez, the co-promoter and resident of legendary afterparty Jaded and man around town Spencer Parker.
Over in T3, Mass Recordings return after their epic debut in November with Micky Slim and this month they bring a whole host of talent from the South Coast and beyond. Headline duty is handed to Ed Kane who has fast made a name for himself in and around the London scene with appearances all over the place!
